Court Filing Services

Prompt Lodgement. Clear Confirmation. Secure Handling.

Professional Court Filing Services

Reliable court document lodgement, registry attendance and collection completed with secure handling, prompt updates and clear confirmation.

Australian Commercial Investigators provides professional court filing services for solicitors, law firms, barristers, businesses, government agencies and private clients throughout Australia. Based on the Sunshine Coast, ACI conducts direct court registry attendances across South East Queensland and can coordinate suitable filing and document collection instructions in other locations.

A court filing agent may assist where original or hard-copy documents must be lodged at a nominated registry, where local attendance is more practical than postage or where prompt confirmation of lodgement is required. Instructions may include filing affidavits of service following process serving, lodging prepared documents relating to civil, enforcement or debt recovery matters and collecting registry-stamped or sealed copies where available.

Every instruction begins with a careful review of the nominated court and registry, matter number, filing deadline, required copies, applicable fees and the client’s written directions. Documents must be fully prepared and supplied in filing-ready form. As some courts accept or require electronic filing, the appropriate method will depend on the jurisdiction, registry requirements and type of document involved.

ACI handles all documents securely and maintains clear communication throughout the instruction. Following attendance, the client is advised whether the documents were accepted, any issue raised by registry staff, fees paid and arrangements for returning filed or sealed copies. ACI does not prepare or review legal documents, provide legal advice or guarantee registry acceptance. Compliance and the effective filing date remain subject to the relevant court registry.

Court Filing and Registry Tasks We Assist With

ACI assists with administrative court registry tasks where clear instructions have been provided and physical attendance is permitted or required. Each instruction is assessed before acceptance to confirm the nominated registry, filing method, applicable deadline, required documents and any filing fees.

Document Filing and Lodgement

ACI can attend a nominated court registry to lodge filing-ready legal documents in accordance with the client’s instructions. This may assist where original or hard-copy documents are required, postal lodgement is impractical or a local court filing agent is needed.

  • Prepared applications and claims
  • Affidavits and supporting documents
  • Affidavits of service
  • Subpoenas, notices and responses
  • Enforcement-related documents
  • Other filing-ready court documents

Registry Collection and Processing

Where permitted by the registry, ACI can collect available filed, stamped or sealed copies and return them securely to the client. We can also arrange payment of filing fees and obtain available receipts or lodgement references.

  • Collection of filed court documents
  • Registry-stamped or sealed copies
  • Payment of filing fees with funds provided
  • Filing receipts and lodgement references
  • Collection and return of original documents
  • Notification of registry issues or requisitions

Urgent and Coordinated Instructions

Law firms and other clients may require a local filing agent where a deadline applies or the nominated registry is outside their usual area. Priority attendance and broader coordination may be available depending on location, registry hours and agent availability.

  • Same-day or priority attendance
  • Deadline-sensitive court lodgement
  • Multiple document bundles
  • Filing following completed process serving
  • Regional court registry attendance
  • Australia-wide filing coordination

ACI provides administrative court filing and registry support only. Documents must be fully prepared, complete and accompanied by clear written instructions and any required fees. ACI does not provide legal advice or guarantee registry acceptance, processing times or the effective filing date. All instructions remain subject to the relevant court’s procedures, operating hours and filing requirements.

How Our Court Filing Service Works

Every court filing instruction follows a structured process, beginning with the assessment of the client’s written directions and continuing through registry planning, secure document handling, physical attendance and confirmation of the outcome. The service is tailored to the nominated court, document type, filing deadline, applicable fees and available lodgement method.

1. Instruction and Document Receipt

The client provides the filing-ready documents and written instructions identifying the court and registry, matter number, filing deadline, required copies and fee arrangements. The material is checked against the instructions for administrative completeness. ACI does not prepare, amend or provide legal advice regarding the documents.

2. Registry and Filing Review

Where practical, the registry location, operating hours, filing method and applicable fees are confirmed before attendance. As some documents may require electronic, email or postal lodgement, we assess whether physical court filing is available and appropriate. Any uncertainty is referred to the client before the filing agent is dispatched.

3. Court Registry Attendance

The filing agent attends the nominated court registry, presents the prepared documents and follows the client’s written instructions. Filing fees may be paid where funds have been provided. If registry staff identify an issue, the agent records the information but does not alter documents or make decisions without further authorisation.

4. Confirmation and Document Return

The client is promptly advised of the filing outcome, effective filing date where confirmed, fees paid and any reference supplied by the registry. Available stamped or sealed copies and receipts are returned securely. If documents are not accepted, the reason provided by the registry is reported and the material is returned for further instructions.

Registry Attendance. Clear Updates. Secure Return.

Effective court filing involves considerably more than delivering a bundle of documents to a courthouse. It requires careful coordination of the correct registry, matter details, filing deadline, required copies, applicable fees and return instructions. A missed administrative detail can result in delay or rejection, making clear instructions and organised document handling essential.

ACI works strictly from the client’s written directions and does not make assumptions about the documents or their legal purpose. Before attendance, the administrative details are reviewed and, where practical, the available filing method is considered. Preparation and legal compliance remain the responsibility of the client or their legal representative, while acceptance remains a decision for the registry.

During attendance, the filing agent maintains a clear record of the registry visited, documents presented, fees paid, filing references and information provided by registry staff. If an issue is identified, the agent reports the registry’s advice and seeks further instructions rather than altering documents or making an unauthorised decision.

Following attendance, the client receives a prompt update confirming the outcome and any further action identified by the registry. Available receipts, stamped copies, sealed material and original documents are returned securely. Every instruction is handled confidentially, with clear communication from receipt of the documents through to completion and return.

Frequently Asked Questions About Court Filing

The following answers address common questions about ACI’s professional court filing services, court registry attendance, document requirements, filing fees, urgent lodgement and confirmation of the outcome.

What is a court filing service?

A court filing service involves an authorised agent attending a court registry to present filing-ready legal documents in accordance with the client’s instructions. The service is administrative and does not include appearing before the court, representing a party or providing legal advice.

What court documents can ACI lodge?

ACI may assist with prepared applications, claims, affidavits, subpoenas, notices, responses, enforcement documents and affidavits of service. The documents that can be lodged physically will depend on the relevant court, registry and current filing requirements.

Do all court documents have to be filed in person?

No. Many courts accept or require documents to be filed electronically, by email or through a dedicated online portal. Physical court registry attendance is arranged where it is permitted, required or specifically requested by the client.

What information does ACI need to complete a court filing?

We require the filing-ready documents, nominated court and registry, matter or file number, party details, filing deadline, required copies and clear written instructions. Any applicable filing fees or payment arrangements must also be confirmed before attendance.

Can ACI prepare or review my legal documents?

No. ACI does not draft, amend or provide legal advice regarding court documents. Clients are responsible for ensuring that the correct forms have been prepared, signed or witnessed where required and are ready for filing in the relevant jurisdiction.

Can court documents be filed urgently?

Priority or same-day court filing may be available depending on the registry location, operating hours, document requirements and agent availability. Urgent instructions should be provided as early as possible, together with the complete documents and applicable deadline.

Can ACI pay the court filing fee?

Yes. Filing fees may be paid where the amount has been confirmed and sufficient funds have been provided or another payment arrangement has been approved. Available receipts and details of fees paid are returned to the client following attendance.

What happens if the registry does not accept the documents?

The filing agent records the reason provided by registry staff and reports it promptly to the client. ACI will not alter the documents or make an unauthorised decision. The material is returned securely or held pending further written instructions.

What confirmation will I receive after filing?

The client receives an update confirming the registry attended, filing outcome, effective filing date where available, fees paid and any lodgement reference supplied. Receipts and available stamped or sealed copies are returned electronically or physically as instructed.
